We had a great day (except for a little rain)

President Phil welcomed all Skåleagues and guests and spouses to our annual Golf day and gave the Skål Toast (a little late but in grand fashion)

President Philip introduced the guests:

Paul Nix advised everyone that each player was given a Ballot for the 2009 British Open at Turnberry; July 13-20, 2009. Total of prize: $10,450.00

Scott Paterson , owner of  Royal Ashburn provided a great Steak dinner .

Scott also provided a  golf prize of  a round of golf for two people.

Each player was give a Royal Ashburn Hat by Scott along with tees and water.

Because we could not finish our round due to rain/lighting, each player was given a raincheck for 9 holes, with power cart.

Each player and guest were given a bottle of Wine.

Herbert Wolf won the Golf bag, donated by Paul Nix and the Investors Group.

Henry advised the members that Toronto North's next meeting will be at the Delta Chelsea Hotel on September 23, 2008, hosted by Josef Ebner. This will be a joint meeting with Toronto (largest Club in Canada), Hamilton and London. Guests are welcome. Please make sure you advise Murray MacPhail by e-mail (st.murmac@rogers.com) of your attendance.

Henry thanked Scott Paterson for all that he did to make our tournament and day a successful one, even though we could not finish the round, but made us all feel welcome.

The meeting closed at 9:30pm.
